Cars are a Necessity

Let’s face it…. but they can still be fun too! Unless you’re a hard core biker that rides rain, sleet, snow or shine, you probably have a car. We’re going to take a look at a range of vehicles today. Personally, if it’s not a Harley, I like a truck. In the past, I’ve been partial to the Ford F Series and the Chevy Silverado. However, in recent years, I’ve taken a good look at the Toyota Tundra. It’s very well done and the reviews have been great. Of course, it’s like anything with Toyota these days. You have to wonder about the acceleration problem. I’ve haven’t heard anything about the trucks but it’s something that is certainly worth considering.
Now, if you’re not getting a truck, there’s always the BMW 7 Series which is fun, safe and luxorious. But hey, you get what you pay for, right. I will say that besides Lexus, BMW is definitely at the top of the list when it comes to customer service. Customer service is very important to me because it saves time. Saving time is extremely valuable to me. I’m not going to say priceless, but it’s definitely valuable.
Then, of course, there’s always the environmentally sound sports car, like the Tesla Roadster. This sports car is reported to have great acceleration and the interior is up and coming with more ammenities. The largest complaint is about the low range reported less than 200 miles when driven like a sports car… and some would like a bigger interior. Overall, it’s well liked for the most part, it’s a great looking sports car and the green energy will likely get you some benefit with Uncle Sam on your taxes.
Lastly, there’s the practical car like a chevy cobalt. If you spend every possible day on your bike and are just looking for something that gets you by on the unbearable days (cold, heat, rain, snow, etc), than something practical and fuel efficient may be just what you need.
Anyway, we’d love to hear your choices for a second vehicle (just like we’d like to hear about your favorite bikes).
